| Review (Summary): "The PENTAX Optio Z10 is equipped with a 7X optical zoom lens, the highest magnification among current PENTAX compact digital camera models. Designed with a refraction lens system so the lens never protrudes from the camera while zooming, the 7X optical zoom covers a broad range, from wide-angle to telephoto zoom, and offers an ultra high-magnification of up to approximately 35.7X when combined with digital zoom. With 8.0 megapixels, the Optio Z10 also features high speed detection time Face Recognition for improved portraits and digital Shake Reduction that allows ISO to 3200 to capture sharper images even in low light settings. ...
... Featuring many wonderful features such as face recognition (up to 15 faces), shake reduction, multiple scene modes, and a new feature that allows you to recover deleted files right from the camera itself. This is one of the easiest cameras to use that you will find when in "green mode", but there are also several manual controls in program mode. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "The Pentax Optio Z10 is a small, compact digital camera with a twist - despite being the same size as a pack of playing cards, it features a 7x optical zoom lens equivalent to 38-266mm. Furthermore the lens is internal and doesn't extend from the camera, protected by a plastic screen and a sliding lens cover. ...
... On the downside, image quality is severely hampered by noise, which appears at ISO 200, becomes very noticeable at ISO 400, and reduces images to a pixelated mess by ISO 3200. The digital Shake Reduction mode offered by the Z10 simply increases the ISO speed up to the maximum of 3200, which could leave you with some very unattractive photos. ..." |

| Review (Summary): "Announced in August 2007, the 8-megapixel Pentax Optio Z10 stepped into the digital camera market with a $249 retail price tag. Its main draw is its internal 7x optical zoom lens, covered by a metal sliding door when powered down. Other perks include faster face detection and 52 MB of internal memory. ...
... The autofocus system is so slow that candid shots are out of the question. Every shot must be posed for it to be captured properly. The Pentax Z10 has a digital blur reduction system, but it isn't as effective as optical systems on competing cameras. The Z10 also has a face detection system, but it is crippled by the shutter lag. ..." |
